Judd Nelson

Judd Nelson has agreed to play the wry, vicious, manipulative Major Kern . . . a JAG lawyer at the very heart of a national military crisis.

Judd Nelson was born in Portland, Maine to Leonard Nelson (attorney) and his wife, Merle Nelson (attorney & state assemblywoman). He subsequently attended St. Paul"s preparatory school in Concord, New Hampshire and then the prestigious Haverford College in Pennsylvania where he majored philosophy and discovered acting.

After graduation, Judd set out for New York City and the Stella Adler Conservatory where he played a wide variety of demanding characters including the "street-smart Eddie Keaton" in Making the Grade (1984) and the stodgy ROTCer, Phil Hicks, in Fandango (1985).

Numerous and diverse starring roles in the brat-pack films followed, including the anti-hero John Bender in The Breakfast Club (1985) the ruthless Alec Newbary in St. Elmo"s Fire (1985) and the real life monster Joseph Hunt in the Billionaire Boys Club (1987). Judd set the small screen on fire again as the sexy, funny Jack Richmond in the Emmy Award winning Suddenly Susan (1996-2000).

A Military Ghost Story
